“The Entertainer” is a classic piano ragtime piece composed by Scott Joplin in 1902. As one of the iconic works in ragtime music, it regained international prominence during the 1970s ragtime revival and was prominently featured as the theme music in the 1973 Oscar-winning film “The Sting”. The Recording Industry Association of America even ranked it 10th on its list of “Songs of the Century”. In 2012, it was adapted into a guzheng（Chinese zither） trio by Prof. Cynthia Hsiang.
